INFRARED FINDS MOISTURE

Moisture is an enemy to your building, and y
our healthy indoor environment.

Hidden moisture above ceilings, inside walls, and below floor finishes will provide a home to noxious molds and mildews.

Hidden moisture will also promote the premature decay and deterioration of your building's structure.

Predictive maintenance can provide early detection of moisture, and that can help save you money, potential illness, and even costly and inconvenient  litigation.

Infrared imagers can see what is invisible to the human eye. Moisture, air infiltration or escape, missing or inadequate insulation can be easily seen with infrared. Bad or overloaded electrical circuits and devices can also be detected.
Let us do a non-invasive sweep of your building or home. We may be able to save you big money on repairs by finding defects before they become serious. By showing you what to fix, we may help save you $$$$$ on future energy costs. We can help protect your assets, and help you mitigate costly problems.   Look up INFRARED RADIATION
Energy Bills Rising FastEnergy costs are rising and will continue to rise in the future. Updating your building's thermal efficiency has never been a better investment.

By cutting carbon emissions we can all help stop man made climate change.
Gateway to the UN System's Work on Climate Change
IR Image of a home showing energy loss. This is an example of an IR Scan showing a home's exterior as seen from the street. the yellow areas show warmer areas, the darker colors, show cooler areas. The warm masonry wall in the foreground has probably retained the day's warmth of the sun. A window shows the reflection of a street light.

Understanding heat absorption, reflection, and ambient temperatures in relation to target temperatures and materials, is an important part of interpreting infrared images.
Invisible to the naked eye, are wet areas below a flat roof surface (Seen with a B/W IR palette). This type of detection means a spot repair, rather than the alternative whole area repair, potentially saving many thousands of dollars.
IR Camera Scan showing energy loss in a home. This is an example of an IR Scan showing an area of missing insulation, and areas of inadequate insulation. Our thermal imager captures an infrared image along with the corresponding visual image, and verbal notations if needed.
Cold spot near exhaust vent suspects moistureThis is another example of an IR Scan showing a cold spot in the area of a bath exhaust fan. This image displays the shaping characteristics of moisture, as opposed to just cold areas, above the unstained (as yet) ceiling.
Cold spots show the nailing schedule. This is another example of an IR Scan showing a cold corner, the studs, and the nailing schedule of the drywall.
Missing insulation at corner. Here is a ceiling joist space at a home's perimeter with no insulation at all. It looks as though the warm inside air is condensing on the surface, which was confirmed with our non-destructive moisture and humidity meter.
Cold spots on a slanted ceiling. Here is a slanted area of ceiling that exhibits cold spots. Warm air will condense on these cold surfaces and they will become wet in the winter.
